My 216 packed it in and I am taking this opportunity to swap it for a 235 (46 GMC). A friend of a friend gave me an engine that appears to be very similar to the 216. The casting number, #2135412, comes up as a 248,270. Is this a 248? or a 270? My second question - The 216 flywheel was held on with 6 bolts and this other engine uses only 4 bolts - Is there an adapter available? or should I be looking for another engine?
