Here is an exploded diagram:
dana 44 exploded view First, you pull the hubs, brake drums, and backing plates. Keep track of the shims that fit behind the backing plates. They hold the wheel bearings in. Then, pull out the axle shafts. This will require a slide hammer. The wheel bearings will come out with the axle shafts.
cutaway view The seal is behind the wheel bearing. Replace it and put everything back together the same way it came out.
