well, today I was working on my truck, and I just got done putting my tools away etc. Since my truck doesnt have a wooden bed in it, I can see the driveline, axle, and all that other stuff. I saw something wet on the bottom of the tire, and I figured that the brake lines had developed a leak (great!) So, I crawled under the truck and wiped my fingers across the wet stuff. Turns out it is gear oil. I remember when I changed the gear oil in the rear end, that it had not been filled up all the way when I drained it. I figure the axle seals were bad before that, and filling the rear end up all the way allowed the oil to seep through the seals. What does it take to get the old seals out and the new ones in? what kind of locking system holds the axles in? My rear end is a Dana 44 10 bolt.
