Yup, typically need to pre-fill the converter with the correct type of tranny fluid. Amount depends on converter. Refer to converter mfg for information. Make sure you've got a good cooler, as stall converters can generate more heat than stock units. Make sure that converter bolt pattern, thread pitch and hub dimensions are correct for application.
