Unless I don't understand the statement - you can't "move" the fan because it must connect to the water pump. If there is a heat problem you can only shroud or use electric as suggested.
My pump also came from Jim Carter without any spacer.
Chevy makes a smaller diameter front pulley/balancer that will clear the motor mount and drive a narrow belt - that's what I used.
