My 41 manual specifies gas or kerosene. Gas is a lot cheaper, but kerosene is easier to store and reuse.
I'd probably go with kerosene since it'll leave a film and prevent the oxidation (rusting) that would cause the mesh to fall to pieces. Plus, what are you going to do with the dirty gasoline?
