I was told that I could take apart my oil bath cleaner in order to clean it. It sat lopsided on the carb anyway so I was going to correct this at the same time as I feared that it was not drawing through the oil properly. Well after about fifty curses I decided that in fact it was not designed to be taken apart but take it apart I did. That wirey oil soaked element is really fragile and falling apart. I am going to chuck the guts of the cleaner and get a paper filter to fit inside the housing. If I want added protection I will just get a foam oil soaked slip on to go over the paper filter. I'm not fooling around with oil bath's any more.....Pain in the butt!
