I run a 3.90 in the 39GMC with a 25% OVERDRIVE The 37 Packard 6 runs a 4.09 with a
33 1/3% O-D and 650x16s Both run along at around 2000rpm @ freeway speeds!
It all works out to about 3.00 they accelerate fine.....go down the road OK
Even the 228 with an 18% was good with the 3.90 gears
