The window regulators are different for one thing. However I believe the regulators both mount the same way with 3 screws but I could have forgotten, its been a while. The later regulator is shorter because the glass is not as long.
There is a difference in the sheet metal on the door as well. For instance there is a notch on the later door for the vent window rear frame as well as on the window trim.
It can be done but if I were to do it I'd want to swap out doors.
