You should be able to use it but you will want to check to make sure the tires won't rub on the inside of the fenders. Pop the old axle off, set the new axle in there, put wheels and tires on it, and lower the frame until the bump stops hit the axle and there you go. I bet it will rub, but if you found wheels with a deeper offset you would be fine. It's only about 3/4" per side. You could also adjust the fenders if you feel like it.
