if you cant weld it, at least braze it. Either way, pan has to come out to do the job correctly.
JB weld works great for patching overflow tanks, plastic parts, and filling in on welded patch jobs. I have used it to reinforce body parts, trim parts, the broken remote to the TV, etc, however to keep the life-blood of an engine in tact scares the poop out of me.
