Got a leaking pinion seal in an original 57 rear end. I changed the seal, and when it was apart I noticed much pitting in the yoke surfaces. I changed the seal but is still slinging oil.
Many years ago, I made oil field salt water pumps last a bit longer by JB Welding similiar surfaces and sanding it smooth to fill the pits. Reckon this might hold up to oil and to this application for a while? Thoughts?
