I'm new to the stovebolt page myself, but I will give my 2 cents and hopefully help. Sounds like your concerned about mpg so I gather from the little I know that it will be your main mode of transportation. I love the nostalgia of my 1950 chevy pickup but when it comes to getting to work and earning a dollar for my family, I have to think about reliability and fuel economy in todays rising fuel costs. Get a newer fuel injected vehicle that will get you where you want to go cheap and effectively and if you have the time and know how "and extra cash" get that advanced design of your dreams and live a bit of history.
