I've already ripped out all the wiring and installing a new wiring harness for the same reason! If you think the column is a mess you should see the "creativity" under the dash using small 6 inch sections of wiring, crimpers and electrical tape! These guys did some pretty amazing things down there... lol
I tore that all out yesterday when I hit a dead end with the steering column and will have to take a pic of what I found under the dash... it's pretty amazing!
The wiring was SO far gone I had no other choice... we'll see what ideas I get for the column and if the steering box is worth salvaging or not but it would be very cool to have power steering IF we can make it work...
