| | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 | When I first had my truck there were rear coil overload springs on it. There was a bracket welded to the top of the axle both sides with a bolt projecting vertically. The springs are tapered, wider at the top and there was a plate on the bottom with a hole for the bolt to go thru. A nut kept them in place.
I have seen leaf overload springs but never coil. It could be some after-market item but the way the bracket is mounted to the axle it appears to be original. It is a Canadian built truck.
