Yes I could but it didn't have a cover in 1951 so it can't have one now. I have been told by some of the older firefighters that the hose came in a red or a black version. I looked at buying new black hose but that stuff is $298 a section and I don't need it bad enough to buy $2,400 worth of black hose. It will be as is for that price! Just looking at options...

I have checked with all the locals, they are all using the new red hose. They like the red on the new rigs so there is no black avalable.
