I'm working on the booster hoseline which is currently red. It was in 1952 black but was replaced in the past 55 years with the red. Picture of rubber hose is here: http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2640598220080243953qGyjoY My question is: have any of you used a dye material to color rubber? I know I can't paint it, but I figured a black dye would work. Just trying to stay original with the truck. If I've got to have red/pink/orange hose, then so be it... Anyone have any comments? Thanks.
