The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk Gas tank differences

I plan on switching back to a stok location gas tank (behind the seat). What are the differences between the 48-55 1st and a TF truck? Will the early tank fin into a TF truck? I notice the earlier tank has a bottom feed and the TF tank feeds from the sender assembly. If the earlier tank will fit into a TF truck, I would like to change the feed from 5/16 to 3/8. Also what are the differences in the senders? The previous owner installed a plastic fuel cell under the bed and it fills with water during heavy storms. I'm done with the fuel cell :mad: .
