For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,048 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 1,048 | Took ‘41 out for a leisurely drive around the block last night. First time since October, there are now 21 miles on the odometer all from going around the block. It started right up after a couple of drops of gas into the carburetor. On the first time around I realized that I must have incorrectly positioned the speedometer needle as it was showing 40 MPH and I was still in 2nd gear (not likely with the stock 4.56 rear end) On the second time around The needle fell off when the truck hit a bump in the road. Guess the needle needs to be glued to that skinny little post. Anyone ever have one of these speedometers apart and know how to hold the needle on?? | | |
