As far as the radial tires go the tire manufacturer's manual for the size you specified calls for a 5" minimum rim width. I have either 4" or 4.5" rim widths and the tire dealer did not want to install 215-85R16 radials on my rims. He was concerned about minimum width and the fact there is no safety lip on the rim.
To a lot of people on this Forum these are moot points and there are a lot of fellows who have this size tire on the narrow rim. | | |
