The 235 bellhousing is different than the 283,its got a different bolt pattern. Depending on what year of truck you have and if a V8 was optional you will need to get the V8 bellhousing,flywheel,clutch parts,starter,mounts and other parts. The 63-up V8 and six manual bellhousings are where the starter bolted. Jeff
