botiessr4me, I am in the process of gathering the parts to do the job you are asking about. I am going to put power steering on my 53.
My plan is to use the steering parts from a 60's vett. This is a kind of a power assist system. I have the piston, controler and the hoses that I got off of e-bay.
The hardest part is to find a pulley for the harmonic balencer on a 235. I found a pulley from a after market AC unit that bolts to the crank pulley. That thing is like the Holy Grail to find. A friend gave it to me. A lot of people are using a balancer form a 250 inline and machining it to fit the 235 crank. I have already installed an AC unit and I am using the double pulley on it for the alternater so I had to find a crank pulley.
I plan to use a small PS pump with a remote tank. Looks like it will be a tight fit.
I haven't worked out the brackets yet but it shouldn't be that much trouble. Like I said I am in the process of gathering parts now. More to come.
