Cletis - the 1001 start was for pre-53 production, in 53 they changed to 001001 to start, until 55, in 56 the numbering sequence started at 100001, at each plant for general production, not each series .... it continued that way until 1971 when it changed to 800001 starting number each plant .... Peg! the tech tip is wrong
