It ain't snake oil, man. This stuff has been tried by me personally ... and, like I said, *NO* rust has returned after going through Winter rain and snow.
I brought a pair of plyers in the house that had some surface rust on them ... I sprayed some GIBBS on 'em and walked away ... 15 minutes later I came back to wipe them down and the rust was all gone!
Go ahead. Be skeptical ... and keep fighting the rust. Whatever makes you happy, man.
As for me, I don't have to think about it anymore.
