THe first truck I learned to drive (other then driving my dad home...slightly to tispey to drive) was a 72 granny 3 speed. I ground the gears, killed her, but I learned! My dad gave me a 4speed F150 4x4. And I have also driven a 3 on tree...which may I ad...is VERY confusing once youve learned to drive a floor shift! Anyhow. Standard is like a bike, you never forget. I have gone above and beyond with my "adopted" daughter and taught her to drive in a $100 banger ford tempo. Once she learned, I sold the car ($800) its only purpose was to teach her. Now she plods around on our tractor and old Big Red 3 wheeler. All thanks to learning to drive a stick!
