I haven't had mine out yet...I'm assuming there's some seam sealer or a gasket between the hump and the floorpan, along the mating flange, but I don't know for sure yet. What it looks like to me is that the firewall-end of the trans tunnel is high. The high hump comes right off there and continues back toward the seat, pretty much the same height all the way.
The low hump is stepped up to bolt to the firewall-end, and then drops to the very low profile, continuting towards the seat. It looks like the opening in the truck body/floor is the same regardless, just the cover over the transmission is different. From looking and studying mine, I'm anticipating a direct bolt-in when I change to the smaller transmission.
