There are two approaches I've heard of for making a regular cab into a 5-window cab.

Assuming you have a 5-window with the same windshield configuration as your '50, you can cut through the windshield posts, and cut the spot welds on the rear at the bottom edge of the cab on both trucks, and graft the roof and cab back from the 5-window to the good cab.

The other approach is to cut the outer skin an inch or so outside the edge of the corner windows, cut the spot welds in the rear windows and for the interior panels and then swap the 5-window parts into the standard cab, opening up the corner windows and either carefully trimming and butt-welding around the corner windows, or lap-welding and doing some metal finishing around those windows.

A third option is to buy new panels from Chevs of the Forties and install those panels.
