I finally got my rear axle out and on the floor.Took the old leaf springs out. Had one pin in the shackel & hanger I could not get out so I cut it off with the dramel(what a great tool)and punched it through.Put new shackels & pins in the rear hangers.Punched out the old bushings from the used springs I bought and painted the springs.Put new bushings in. Went to put the bolt in the front of the rear spring and it didn't fit. I called American Classic Truck & told them the bolts I bought were too short. Thought it was because of cheap China crap. Turns out I got the wrong bolts. They listed two different ones for a 57. Mine appears to be the other ones. Now I can wait until this coming weekend to put the springs & "new" used axle in. At least I got something done.
