You were right!! There is a missing "5" that I had left out of the above description. The correct number, stamped onto a pad above the starter motor is:-
08493 47F54Z
So it would seem that I stumbled across a full-oil pressure '54 vintage 235 motor? Shame about the frost crack along the water jacket :-( | | |
