I don't know what year truck you have but I pulled the engine from my '53.I took the whole front end apart but if you don't want to do that you can cut the
radiator shroud and leave the fenders on.If you zoom in on
this photo you can see where someone welded the top of my radiator shroud back on after a previous motor swap.I pulled
my motor with the bellhousing and left the
tranny in the truck .There were 4 bolts holding the bell housing to the tranny.There were 2 on the
top outside of the bellhousing and 2
inside the bellhousing (you have to take off the dust cover on the bottom of the bell housing to gain access).Have your hoist hooked up to the motor first(for safety) before un bolting it.I did mine by myself and had never pulled a motor either,it was suprisingly easy.Hope this helps.
