i have torn down my 235 to the block still in the truck, i need help on the bell housing area of the removal...
Do remove the engine with the bell housing on the engine or can i disconnect the bell housing from the engine and just pull the block out. I hope this dont sound stupid but this is my first time pulling out an engine that was not an air cooled vw. the donor engine came from a 62 chevy truck and is a 261, i just pulled the bell housing out with the engine and left the transmission in the truck, I think that i have to do the same to my 235 in my truck, i cant slide the transmission back enough to clear the spline so i will have to pull the engine forward and up out of the truck, i put a stand under the transmission so that i will not fall with i lift it out.
what are the procedures of pulling out an inline six near the rear of the engine?
any help would be great.
