iv been doing a search but need some info
from what iv read you can get some type of adaptor you weld/rivvet to smoothie type wheels to fit a standard cap?
i am thinking of fitting the chevrolet script stainless/chrome caps 1949 style to me smoothie rims problem is the rims accept a push in cap with diameter of 7.5 that ,,pushes in,, and the original cap i have here for reference is a lot wider and when laid on top the smoothie as fitted
it appears to overlap the area of wheel to much resulting in a gap
can somebody explain what caps or what adaptors i need where i can get them and an idea of price?
the other optio seems to be standard push in smoothie caps or the type that are the same but with chevrolet stamped across them same as 49 style BUTare these small and flatter like the standard smoothie caps? as they look too small to me
ideas/advise please?
