FWIW: My 1953 3600 3/4, I had it insured with a value of $3,000. I got a letter from my insurer asking me what the status of the restore was and I told them: fresh paint, new tires and wheels, all gauges, lights and original equipment works, new headliner, seats etc.
"We have reviewed the photos you submitted. We appreciate the informaton you have provided but feel the pickup is in at least good condition. In referring to several publications, we would suggest the pickup value to be at least $5,000.
I have included a copy of hte "Old Cars Price Guide" as reference."
The price guide suggests the following for a 1948-1953 3/4 ton pickup:
parts -- $ 920
Restorable -- 2,760
Good -- 4,600
Very Good --10,350
Fine --16,100
Excellent --23,000
