I had the tank cleaned and coated in my 39 last year. It seems to be a satisfactory solution although a new tank would certainly have been better.
A new truck? Not in the cards. At least according to my wife and checkbook.
I know that when we are talking fuel that we are all sitting on top of a lot of firepower if done the wrong way, but it was cheaper for me this way than locating a new tank locally. As much as I'd like to pretend otherwise, I'm on a budget when it comes to the truck and our decisions sometimes simply come down to that.
