For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 70 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 70 | I've been reading everything that I can find on the T5 swap. The number 1 problem seems to be not enough spline on the input shaft. The number 1 solution seems to be to extend the splines just a little. What I haven't seen much written about is using a 1/4" spacer plate between the bellhousing and the tranny. This seems like a better alternative than modifying the input shaft. Would the spacer work? If it would, why aren't more people going that route? | | |
