I don't know if this will help, but I measured 5" from the gas tank to the end of the "tank" tube. The rubber "connecter" hose measured 2 7/8". I did not measure the filler neck that the gas cap screws onto. I measured 3/8"(+/-) from the rubber boot to the bottom of the gas cap looking down. Looking up it was more like an inch (+/-).
