My 1954 Truck Operators Manual says: Valve clearance (hot engine) - all engines (??) intake 0.010" exhaust 0.020"
My 1954 Chevrolet Truck Shop Manual says: Adjust valve clearances as follows (hot engine): For 235 Thriftmaster 235 engine intake: 0.006 exhaust: 0.016 For 1 1/2 & 2 ton trucks(not clear if this is for the 235 Loadmaster or 261 Jobmaster engine) intake: 0.006 exhaust: 0.020 I use the settings in the shop manual.
The car settings might be different (and the 235 Blue Flame 115 might have different settings than the Blue Flame 125).
