If it is anything like the ones I have had, the 30+ y/o lithium grease is all hard & gummy at lower temps. I have pulled the wheel & metal shrouding on the column to clean out the old grease & add a little new stuff. I bought a 69 C10 that had sat for 4-5 years, engine fired right up w/a hot battery, but I had to clean the column to get it to shift-the shifter wouldn't move at all. Brian
