1946 1/2 ton running boards will probably be easier to find than 3/4 ton running boards.. but the up side to that is when you finally find some, the 3/4 ton running boards will be cheaper.
As Pack points out, rear fenders for a '46 can be difficult to find. Same fenders on the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton models.
The problem there is they just get the hell beat out of them when you use the truck for a 'work' truck.. and long before those trucks became 'collectable', people would just do as the previous owner of your truck did: rip off the whole back end and put a stake/flatbed on.
Lack of supply on the repop market for such parts drives the prices of solid originals pretty high.
AD and Deco rear fenders are different, and the AD bed is a bit wider than a Deco bed.
I've seen dudes put AD fenders on their Deco trucks, and i'm guilty of having a AD tailgate cut down to fit on a '46 1/2 ton.
Some dudes do that kind of thing, and when somebody calls them on it, cook up some story like 'Oh they used those fenders/tailgates/etc in the early trucks'.. blah blah.
It's best not to argue with those dudes.. just smile, nod, and get on with life.
