I didn't see anyone mention solar chargers. Has anybody tried them? Some 35 years ago I worked in a fuel bulk plant. We also sold tires, batteries, and accessories. The guy that ran the place insisted on putting the batteries on pasteboard, and not directly on the concrete floor. He never offered an explanation, just insisted we do it.
