We have several trucks here. When I started this project to redo some of them, i start to notice the many differnt things about the cabs. Our 47 has 2 sets of mounting holes in the floor, it has an oval shaped hole that the stearing column goes though the breather for the hydro-vac dont go though the floor of the cab, but mounts on the frame. It has no rain gutter on it firewall. This truck was built in Sept of 47. I also have a 48 3100, that was built in Feb. It has no rain gutter on its firewall, an odd shaped rounded hole for the column, and its fuel tank in in the frame. Another 48 3600 we have, has a perfect round hole for the column, a rain gutter in the firewall, and its tank in behind the seat. Its was built in Oct of 48. There seems to be a lot of unmentioned changes in the cabs over a short period of time. I find this all great as its part of the collecting that i like better than the actual fixing of the truck. I'm sure theres more little quirks there that i have seen yet. Just let me take another 10 or so apart.!
