yep, I had counterparts latches. I sent them back, and for once the customer service guy admitted I wasn't the only one having trouble. Usually, like some else said, it's always "we haven't had any complaints, you must be doing something wrong". I finally had enough of trying to get them to work right (by the way, the ones I had would not allow the door to open when completely shut, and the door had to be slammed like heck to shut. So, that could be adjustment right? Wrong. I put on my original latch and it worked fine. I'm still looking for a driver's side latch.
