Wow guys thanks for all the quick feedback and opinions. First off I must say that all this great feedback on the powerglide made me somewhat sad, because my trucks not runnin one. I've got the original hydramatic 2-speed which I recently had maitenance on. Is their anything good to say about that baby or should I be expecting an upgrade?
Now, I was looking at my option the othernight: newer used cars and what not and I found most decent ones were more money than it would cost to bring the old bolt back to fighting condition. I mean once I did scrape up the money to put a crate in and poss. a tranny upgrade, my baby would be a prize fighter that I could feel confident driving anytime, anywhere and I can't say I wouldnt feel happy giving my truck that kinda life; turning it into what it deserves to be. Sounds better to me than buying some truck you don't know the history of or making monthly payments on something. What do you guys think?
