The T5 listed for the 92 S10 with a 2.5l 4cyl. shows a ratio of 3.76, 2.18,1.41 and a .72 5th. This is from the transmission with the tag.
However, I am a bit puzzled as I thought they switched to the electronic speedo in 88-89. I just checked a 93 T5 and it has the electronic speedo pickup which looks similar to the mechanical speedo fixture. I'd check down in the hole and make sure you can see some gears.

As for the other transmission without the tag...you can't go by the numbers cast in the case. At worst you'll wind up with a 4.03 1st and a .86 OD. Which isn't bad. You're just going to have to watch your tire height and ring & pinion ratio to make sure you're going to come up with a workable combo for your type of driving.
