For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 70 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 70 | I bought 2 T5 trannys from a local transmission shop. They overhauled them several years ago and recently decided not to keep them in stock anymore. The owner said that they haven't worked on a older S10 pickup in quite a long time. I bought them for $200 each and he gave me a 12,000 mi warranty. They both have the forward positioned shifter(S10)and the mechanical speedo. One has a sticker with a bar code and a number that started with 1352 that I was able to identify from the Inliners tech page. The other has a metal tag stamped with the numbers 1352 211 which wasn't listed on the tech page. Can anyone help me id this tranny? I would like to know the gear ratios so that I can decide if I want to use it. I also asked the shop owner what he recommended to use in the T5. He didn't even hesitate, ATF. Thanks | | |
