WHOA! Sounds like a start to an old story I once knew... ANYway. I had quite a weekend, the voltage regulator (I hope) took a rest in my '54 3600 AND I decided to figure out why my speedometer didn't work and was 'stuck' on 90 mph. (Yeah, I doubt my Dad was running this old truck at 90 mph and it broke!). So, my question is this: Got my speedometer out and found that the gears in the rear of the housing were stuck WD-40 got everything freed up and spinning fine, but do I need to put any grease or oil in the assembly anywhere?
