Quick history lesson:
The Stovebolt Page orignally covered the much older trucks with the inline six cylinder engine... then as I understand it, the old chevy truck book author Tom Brownell suggested that since it was already here that it would be cool if it covered up to 1972 trucks since they had sixes... and at that time in the mid to late 90's when the botl was getting going good, the 1972 trucks were soon to become officially antique... and was the last year of that body style... so, that was decided to be the cut off date.
At least, that is my understanding...
