Hey, Whoopie, I have a '59 granny 4-speed sitting down the hill that worked fine when I took it out to install a 700R4. Come and get it for $100 (NW Arkansas). If you want to cruise at low RPM, then you don't want a 4-speed granny unless you go to a 3.08 rear axle. My 700R4 has a 30% overdrive and thus cruises well with a 3.90 axle.
