| | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 975 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 975 | While refinishing my dash board of my 46 Chevy, late model, I noticed that the paint, both front and back appears to be the silver brown described in the catalogs as the color for GMC trucks of that vintage. It is not the hammered finish brown I should expect to see in that truck. Did Chevy change colors, use GMC dashboard for late production 46 trucks or what?
I am using an off the shelf color for the re-do but was just curious as to why the variation in color..
