practice makes perfect - in those first ones you left spaces after the [url= which "breaks the chain" - now you can figure out how to edit a post instead of making a new one - click the little [img]
http://www.stovebolt.com/bboard/ubb//edit_ubb6.gif[/img] icon on a post [your own only] and it opens it again - in addition to editing it you can check the little box that says "delete post?" and when you click the "edit post" you eliminate it entirely
